Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, mix butter, sugars and vanilla until well blended. Mix in eggs and blend until you get a light and fluffy texture.
In a small bowl whisk together flour, baking soda and salt. Slowly mix into wet ingredients until combined.
Then fold in 1/2 cup of the chocolate chips.
Generously grease a cast iron skillet with butter. I used a 10'' cast iron skillet.
Spread cookie dough into prepared skillet.
Press about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips scattered all over the top of the giant cookie.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or until browned on the edges and light browned on top.
When done, remove from oven and let cool for at least 5-10 minutes. Slice like a pie and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. ENJOY!
Notes
Cover with foil if you notice edges starting to get too dark early on in the baking.
