How to make the Best BLT!

Ingredients
  

  • 4 slices thick slices white bread
  • 6 Slices bacon
  • 4 pieces green leaf lettuce,  rinsed and spun dry
  • 1 perfectly ripe tomato, thickly sliced
  • 1 perfectly ripe avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced.
  • 2-3 tbsp  mayonnaise 
  • 2 tbsp Butter
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Start by baking your bacon.
    Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F. Line your pan with parchment paper.
    Lay out your bacon in one layer. Arrange the strips as close to each other as you can. Bake at 400 on the middle rack for 10-14 minutes depending on thickness and your desired crispiness level.
    Take it out of the oven and remove to a paper-towel lined plate.
  • While the bacon is cooking, prepare your bread. Spread both sides of your bread with butter. Place in a skillet over medium heat and toast lightly, it will only take a couple minutes. Flip each piece of bread and toast the other side. Set aside.
  • Assemble your sandwich: Spread about 1 and 1/2 tablespoons mayo on your toasted bread.
    Add lettuce then tomato, bacon, avocado. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the avocado.
  • Spread 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of mayo on the remaining toasted bread and place over the sandwich, mayo side down. Cut in half if desired and serve. ENJOY!
