Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Rice (Long Grain White Rice)
  • 5 12oz cans Evaporated Milk
  • 1 cup Raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • Ground Cinnamon to top off

Instructions

  • In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat bring water to a boil and cook rice for about 20 minutes or until completely cooked you want it to be thick and tender. Once the rice is done you want to drain and place back in the pot.
  • With the heat off add the 5 cans of evaporated milk and then over medium heat cook for 1-2 minutes stirring occasionally.
  • Then add in the sugar and continue to cook constantly stirring for about 5 minutes. You want to make sure to constantly stir that way the rice and sugar doesn't stick and burn. Then add in the vanilla and continue to cook for about 10 minutes constantly stirring.
  • Then add in the raisins and milk and continue to cook for about 5 minutes or until reached desired consistency while constantly stirring.
  • Turn off the heat and top off with ground cinnamon.
  • Serve in a bowl and ENJOY!
