Chocolate Cake Recipe

- 2 cups All purpose Flour
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
Oils & Vinegars
- 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil

- 1 cup Milk
Liquids
- 1 cup Hot Water
Frosting Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cup Softened Butter
- 1 tbsp Heavy whipping cream
Baking & spices
- 1/2 cup Cocoa powder
- 680 grams Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract

Cake Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl
- Whisk in the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract till smooth. Slowly add the hot water and continue mixing till smooth
- Grease 2 9 inch pans with butter and divide the batter evenly between both pans
- Bake for 20 minutes or until tester comes out clean
- Cool for 10 minutes
- Place one cake on a cake stand or serving tray. Spread about a cup of frosting on the top with a spatula. Place the other cake over and frost the top and sides of the cake.

Frosting Instructions
- Cream the room temperature butter in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment. A hand mixer will work fine too
- Sift out and add the cocoa powder, then mix until incorporated on low speed
- Sift the powdered sugar and slowly beat in batches
- Add the vanilla extract and heavy cream and continue mixing until you have a fluffy, even consistency.
