Starbucks Birthday Cake Pops Recipe

Prep Time 30 minutes
Freeze 20 minutes
Total Time 50 minutes
Servings: 12 cake pops
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

  • 12 Cake pop sticks
  • 1 Box of White cake mix
  • 2-4 tbsp white frosting
  • 1 12oz Bag of pink Candy Melts
  • 2 tsp Crisco shortening
  • White Sprinkles

Method

  1. Bake the cake according to the package and let cool to room temperature.
  2. Once cool trim away the browned outside layer sides and edges of the cake. Because it tends to be too dry to form the cake pop.
  3. In a large bowl, crumble the cake with your hands. Add 2-4 tbsp of frosting to the crumbled cake and mix with a spatula or your hands.
  4. Using a ice cream scooper, scoop the cake and roll with your hands into balls.
  5. Melt about 1/4 cup of candy melts in a small bowl. Heat in 30 second intervals to avoid overheating the candy.
  6. Dip the tip of each cake pop stick into the melted candy and poke it into to ball about half way through. Place each cake pop onto a baking sheet or plate and transfer to the freezer for about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Meanwhile, melt the rest of the candy in a bowl. Make sure you melt them in 30 second intervals with mixing in between. Once it's melted well, add 2 tsp of shortening and mix well. Then pour the melted candy into a tall narrow cup or measuring glass.
  8. Once the cake pops have been in the freezer for 20 min, dip each into the cup and tilt to the sides slowly to make sure the entire cake pop is covered. Then slowly pull up the cake pop. (Don't swirl the cake pop) Hold the cake pop in one hand and gently tap so that all the extra melted candy drips off.
  9. Sprinkle the pop right away so that the sprinkles stick to it before the candy hardens. Place in a Styrofoam block or cake pop stand and let it stand for about an hour. Enjoy!

Instant Pot Cheesecake Recipe

Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes
Chill 4 hours
Total Time 45 minutes
Servings: 6
Course: Dessert

Ingredients

Crust
  • 1 cup Graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup Melted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
Cheesecake Filling
  • 16 oz Cream Cheese
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/4 cup All Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 cup Sour cream
Topping
  • Cherry Pie Filling

Method

  1. Set trivet inside your Instant Pot, add 1 1/2 cups of water to the bottom of the insert.
Crust
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add in the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Stir with a fork.
  2. Press the crumbs in the bottom and sides of a 7-inch springform pan.
  3. Place into the freezer for 10 to 15 minutes and work on the filling.
Filling
  1. In a large mixing bowl, add in the cream cheese and sugar. Beat with a hand mixer until smooth.
  2. Add eggs and mix just until combined. Making sure to not overmix.
  3. Add flour and sour cream and mix just until combined. Lastly, add vanilla extract and stir in with a spatula.
  4. Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust.
  5. Pour water in your instant pot and place pan carefully on the trivet/rack in your Instant Pot. Close the lid and set the valve to "sealing" position.
  6. Set pressure to high and the time to 30 minutes.
  7. Once the timer is up, do not release pressure but let it release naturally. Mine took about 20-30 minutes. When the valve dropped, carefully open the lid away from your face and let any remaining steam escape. Using a paper towel, gently blot the surface of your cheesecake from any built up condensation.
  8. Take the cheesecake out. Let it cool to room temperature and then place in the fridge to chill overnight or at least 4 hours.
  9. Add pie filling to the top and serve. ENJOY!
